The first of 12 Vestas V136-3.6 MW wind turbines has now been installed at the 60.2 MW Kennedy Energy Park, the world’s first utility-scale, on-grid wind, solar and battery energy storage project. The milestone was achieved as a 750-ton lattice-boom mobile crane finished lifting the last 67-meter blade of the first turbine. Vestas has installed the first V150-4.2 MW™ turbine at the Østerild testing site in Denmark 🇩🇰. It boasts the largest rotor in the 4 MW family, and towers reaching new heights for onshore wind. The V150-4.2 MW™ produced its first KW of energy on 14th January 2019, and is expected to offer a 21 percent increase in annual energy production, compared to the V136-3.45 MW® turbine.
