I love anywhere that shows off some North Carolina history! So I knew I had to make a stop here when I was near Boone! 🗝 The original Mast General Store was built in 1883 as a general store & it hasn't changed much since then! 🏚 Fun fact: If you go 2/10 of a mile down the road, you'll find a 2nd Mast General Store that was originally built in 1909 as a competing general store.
