This Ewe war dance from Ghana, Atsia Gbekor, is driven by powerful drumming and dynamic movement. Leading the rhythm is the Atsimevu, a five-foot barrel drum played with one hand and a stick. The supporting drums are Kagan, Sogo, Kidi, and the steady ring of the Gankogui bell.
