This find depicts the gentle imagery of the Roman Goddess Pietas standing nursing a child that was minted under the Empress Flavia Maximiana Theodora. Theodora was actually the replacement for Constantius’s wife Helena the Empress from our previous visit. You see Constantius divorced Helena, who was a woman from humble origins, and married Theodora, a woman much more fitting for his rising status.
