LIVE: Public transport fares won't increase from July 1, as part of a COVID-19 recovery strategy. Canberrans are being encouraged to avoid public transport during peak hours, with fares cheaper outside of peak times. Passenger numbers are still down by roughly 50% compared to this time last year. Meanwhile, traffic levels have returned to pre-pandemic levels with more commuters using private vehicles.
