The Albuquerque Police Department arrested two individuals on Tuesday who were seen in an Instagram video firing off guns from a vehicle. On September 9, 2021, detectives with APD’s Eastside ImpactUnit were provided video posted to Instagram that showed the two individuals firing handguns. Investigators connected thevideo to a shots-fired call near Dellwood Rd N.E. The potential owner of the Instagram account was identified as a 17 year-old male. This weekend, the Albuquerque Police Department worked with UNM Police on a joint crime operation in the University Area Command. This operation was conducted in an effort to reduce crime in the UNM and Nob Hill area as students are returning to school.
