Pete DeJoy was announced as Astronomer's interim CEO on Saturday following a kiss cam scandal involving his former boss.
Pete DeJoy, the company’s cofounder, is taking over for former CEO Andy Byron as Astronomer looks into his alleged affair that was revealed by the Jumbotron at a Coldplay concert Wednesday night. DeJoy previously served as Astronomer’s Chief Product Officer, the company said.
"While I would never have wished for it to happen like this, Astronomer is now a household name," interim CEO Pete DeJoy said in a statement.
Astronomer co-founder Pete DeJoy has stepped in to the role of interim CEO following Andy Byron's resignation in disgrace. Byron was caught on the "kiss cam" at a Coldplay concert last week, cozying up to Astronomer head of HR Kristin Cabot. Both Byron and Cabot are married to other people and have children with their spouses.
