High profile left winger Zarah Sultana has quit Labour and vowed to launch a new political party with Jeremy Corbyn. That, however, seems to have come as news to him.

The former leader of Britain's Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn, announced on Friday he was in talks to start a new political party because Prime Minister Keir Starmer's government had "refused to deliver the change" voters expected during its first year in office.

An outspoken former Labour MP has said that she will co-lead a new party with Jeremy Corbyn — although he is yet to clarify his role. Serial rebel Zarah Sultana – who had the Labour whip suspended last year – announced yesterday that she is resigning from Sir Keir Starmer ’s party and joining forces with the ex-Labour leader.
