Florida politicians poured out with prayers on social media after learning about the Indian River County deputy who was killed.

Law enforcement agencies and officials across Florida are sharing their condolences after a deputy with the Indian River County Sheriff's Office was fatally shot Friday.

Indian River County deputies were involved in a shooting on Friday. Florida Attorney General James Uthemeier confirmed the shooting in a Nov. 21 press conference.

Sheriff's vehicles, including an armored unit, were seen speeding along US-1 in Vero Beach as authorities work to gather more information.
