The Champions League draw is out, with UEFA setting the bracket for the rest of soccer's biggest club tournament. Here's what to know.

The UEFA Champions League round of 16, quarterfinal and semifinal draws took place on Friday as Europe's leading soccer competition takes its final form for this season. The top eight teams from the league phase led by Liverpool and Barcelona qualified automatically for the round of 16 while eight teams have emerged from the knockout round playoffs which are part of this year's new format.

The draw for the Champions League last 16 is complete with the tie of the round pitting Premier League leaders Liverpool against French champions Paris Saint-Germain. Holders Real Madrid face city rivals Atletico while the top two in the Bundesliga meet. By comparison, the likes of Arsenal and Barcelona have been handed favourable draws.

The round-of-16 draw takes place on Feb. 21 at 6 a.m. ET / 11 a.m. GMT. The exact date and time of each tie will be announced later on Friday.
