Fire and Ash" is already setting the domestic box office ablaze. "Fire and Ash," the third installment in Disney's sci-fi saga, grossed $36.5 million from 3,800 North American theaters on Friday. The film is on track to reach between $90 million and $105 million domestically by Sunday.
On December 20, the latest instalment in the Avatar franchise earned Rs 10.5 crore from its English version, Rs 6.25 crore in Hindi, Rs 2.5 crore in Tamil, Rs 3 crore in Telugu, Rs 0.08 crore in Kannada, and Rs 0.02 crore in Malayalam. The film’s total India net collection in two days stands at Rs 41.05 crore.
James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash opened with a powerful Rs 19 crore start on Friday, December 19. According to Sacnilk, the cult movie went on to gross another Rs 22.5 crore, taking the two-day tally on domestic screens beyond the Rs 40 crore mark. Released in six languages, English shows in IMAX 3D remained the most popular.

Avatar: Fire and Ash has opened steadily at the Indian box office, crossing Rs 50 crore in its first two days. Despite a solid start, the film's initial collections are slightly restrained compared to expectations and its predecessor.
"Pre-Covid, everybody thought the Chinese box office was going to be the savior of Hollywood," one international executive said. "Post-Covid, that has all changed."
