If you're in the market for a new MacBook or iPad, now is a bad time to place an order. That's after Apple CEO Tim Cook hinted at a new product launch coming this week.

The air floating up from Apple’s spaceship headquarters is starting to smell like fan-less laptop exhaust. In a post to X, Apple CEO Tim Cook tells fans there is “something in the air”—and it’s probably the next MacBook Air.

While we’re not expecting a full event, Apple has been rumored to release several key products in the spring timeframe, and as if on cue, Apple CEO Tim Cook kicked off the week with an animated post on X that read,

Apple CEO Tim Cook just teased the launch of a new device coming to its Air lineup this week. In a post on X, Cook posted a short video with the text, “There’s something in the air” alongside a caption saying “this week.”

On Monday, Cook teased a product drop happening this week. He didn't specify the day or time, but the "air" hint all but confirms strong rumors that it will be the M4 MacBook Air. This was predicted by Bloomberg 's Mark Gurman who expected a March launch. Given that today is the first business day in March, that prediction is right on track.
