Volvo will begin producing its top-selling XC60 SUV at its Ridgeville plant by late 2026, expanding U.S. manufacturing and supporting American jobs.

Volvo’s compact luxury SUV has existed since 2008, and today’s version—on sale since 2017—represents only its second generation ever. Sales just passed the 2.7 million mark, placing it ahead of the 240, which ultimately served longer, its sales spanning 1974–1993.

The newly refreshed XC60 will be localized in the latter part of 2026, most likely hitting dealership lots for the 2027 model year
