Now ski jumping has its own scandal that escalated Wednesday. Cheating by Norway team officials manipulating ski suits has shaken a national reputation for fair play and high-minded principles at their home Nordic world championships,

Ahead of a news conference on Thursday, ruling body FIS has announced adjustments to its equipment control policy in ski jumping and Nordic combined following the Norway cheating affair. Each athlete will be allowed to use one suit until the end of the 2024-25 World Cup season.

Norway was caught red-handed for engaging in blatant crotch cheating at an event over the weekend, when officials were caught adding extra material to the crotch of jumping suits in an effort to make Norwegian athletes soar further in the air. They essentially constructed a crotch sail, modifying pre-approved suits.
