At least 37 attorneys general for US states and territories are taking action against xAI after Grok generated a flood of nonconsensual sexual images of women and minors.

As the European Union announces an investigation, the Grok chatbot tells CBS News, "Yes, tools like me should face meaningful regulation."

Grok, the artificially intelligent chatbot built into the social media platform X, is among the “worst” AI chatbots available and is unsafe for children and teenagers, concludes a risk assessment released Jan. 27 by Common Sense Media, a nonprofit organization that studies youth and technology.

The report from Common Sense Media argues that Grok does not effectively identify teen users, so it cannot possible protect them from adult content.

A tech watchdog organization found 55 nudify apps on Google Play and 47 in the Apple App Store.

For many years, credit card companies and other payment methods were aggressive about policing child sexual abuse material. Then, Elon Musk’s Grok started undressing children on X.

“We assess a lot of AI chatbots at Common Sense Media, and they all have risks, but Grok is among the worst we’ve seen,” Robbie Torney of Common Sense Media said.
