PARIS (AP) — French movie star Gérard Depardieu was convicted Tuesday of sexually assaulting two women on a set and received an 18-month suspended prison sentence in a case that was widely seen as a post-#MeToo test for the country’s film industry.

The court also reportedly requested that the actor be added to the national sex offender registry. French actor Gérard Depardieu was found guilty of sexual assault in France. The Associated Press reported that the court requested he be added to a national sex offender list.
