In the first five minutes of the second period, right off a faceoff win for the Panthers, Sam Reinhart’s shot from the dot beat Jake Allen far side to tie the game, 2-2. As they have done multiple times throughout the season, New Jersey responded to their opponents goal with multiple strong shifts.

The Florida Panthers took one on the chin this week from the New Jersey Devils. After getting dropped by the Devils 4-1 on Tuesday night, Florida came back and found a similar effort on Thursday, falling 6-2 to New Jersey. For the second straight game, it was Devils jumping out to a first period lead on the Cats.

Jesper Bratt got his second career hat trick, Stefan Noesen scored twice and the New Jersey Devils beat the Florida Panthers 6-2 on Thursday night to sweep a two-game series with the Stanley Cup champions.
