Amazon confirmed that it voluntarily paused its Prime Air drone deliveries in Texas and Arizona, but downplayed the role of a reported crash of two drones in December at an Oregon testing facility as a factor in the decision.

Amazon's drones won't be making any deliveries in the foreseeable future. According to Bloomberg, the company has paused all commercial drone deliveries in Texas and Arizona after a previously undisclosed event in which two of Amazon's MK30 drones had crashed at the Pendleton,

The move means that Prime Air customers in Texas and Arizona, where these drone deliveries are commercially available at select locations, will face a pause while Amazon implement

Amazon has paused testing of its delivery drones following a crash involving two of those drones, according to Bloomberg.

The company said Friday it was immediately suspending drone deliveries in Texas and Arizona to fix the aircraft’s software.
