In a new update forecasters said that the weather was turning very chilly - and added that people should watch out for ‘warnings around snow’. The Met Office said after a spell of persistent heavy rain, high pressure will settle the weather across the UK, bringing widespread cold conditions and some wintry hazards.
Maps show a 521-mile stretch of snow from John O’ Groats to Stoke-on-Trent. At 6am, large parts of England will see rainfall with snowfall mainly sticking to Scotland. By 12 noon, the maps show that patches of snow could be seen in other parts of England.

Weather maps predict the first snow to fall around 6pm on Friday, November 14. Just a few centimetres are forecasted in northern Scotland, particularly around Inverness.
