Sabrina Carpenter is making it crystal clear: music comes first. The 26-year-old pop superstar and actress recently opened up to Variety about balancing her soaring music career with her acting pursuits.

"It wouldn’t matter so much if I wasn’t a childhood figure for some people," the singer said of her NSFW lyrics.

Sabrina Carpenter’s music career can be broken up into two acts: Her child star days on the Disney-owned Hollywood Records and the mainstream pop star era that followed. Before both of those, though, she was an actor, most notably on Girl Meets World.
