After allowing a game-tying goal early in the third period, the Sharks allowed a goal to Cole Caufield at the 3:21 mark of overtime and lost 4-3 to the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre.
MONTREAL -- Cole Caufield scored at 3:21 of overtime to give the Montreal Canadiens a 4-3 win against the San Jose Sharks at Bell Centre on Thursday. Caufield dragged the puck between his legs to get around Macklin Celebrini in the left face-off circle before shooting over Alexandar Georgiev ’s right pad.
After giving up a game-tying goal early in the third period, the Sharks saw Cole Caufield carry the puck into the Sharks’ zone, dangle around Macklin Celebrini and lift a shot high over the shoulder of Alexandar Georgiev at the 3:21 mark of overtime to give the Montreal Canadiens a 4-3 win at the Bell Centre.
