The Phoenix Suns’ season has come to a close as they failed to live up to their lofty expectations during the regular season. Phoenix entered the season as a team expected to compete near the top of the Western Conference standings and possibly for a championship thanks to having the NBA’s highest payroll and a superstar trio of Kevin Durant,

Per ESPN's Brian Windhorst, the Suns are expected to offer Booker the maximum two-year, $149.8 million contract extension he is eligible to sign this offseason.

The Suns signed Booker to a four-year, $220 million extension in 2022. A four-time All-Star, Booker is eligible to sign a two-year $149.8 million extension this summer, and according to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, Phoenix is expected to offer that deal to Booker.

"Phoenix is expected to engage in trade conversations involving Durant," ESPN's Shams Charania wrote. "Multiple teams will seriously pursue Durant, who finished another stellar season, and the franchise is expected to work with Durant and his business partner and Boardroom CEO Rich Kleiman on the next landing spot for the future Hall of Famer."

The Phoenix Suns have fired head coach Mike Budenholzer and Kevin Durant is expected to be moved after a disappointing season in which they failed to make the playoffs. The Knicks are expected to be among the teams potentially involved for Durant, although virtually every team in the NBA will likely reach out to Phoenix.
