The Nokia Lumia 635 isn’t the most attractive or powerful Windows Phone so far, but it’s a good smartphone for those on a budget.

Cricket Wireless no longer has any phones listed on its site that are made by Microsoft. It does offer one Nokia phone, however, and that is the Lumia 635, which isn't eligible for Windows 10 Mobile.

Nokia on Wednesday announced new smartphones during Microsoft’s Build 2014 keynote, the Lumia 930 and Lumia 630, with both devices expected to run Windows Phone 8.1 and to launch later this year.

Two weeks ago, we would have written the Lumia 635 off as a middling device you'd probably pass over. After the last week's events, it might be the new direction of Windows Phone.

Nokia has bet the company on Windows Phone 8, and Microsoft is right there with them, needing it to succeed almost as much. The Lumia 920 is their first real chance to be judged in the market.
