Our final Donkey Kong Bananza demo gave us a two hour tour of a chaotic platformer clearly built from Super Mario Odyssey's DNA.

Just like Super Mario Odyssey's Power Moons, Donkey Kong Bananza has lots of collectibles, mainly Golden Bananas. Although, the best part about DK Bananza's take on this is that the collectible marathon is given a bit of a backseat, no longer essential for reaching new levels.

As previews for Donkey Kong Bananza come in ahead of the game’s July 17th release date, one tidbit has stood out on the development of this game. It’s been nearly eight years since Super Mario Odyssey,
