A 23-year-old accused of murdering a man during an incident in Dublin city centre was allegedly captured on CCTV footage stabbing him four times, a court has heard.

A man has appeared in court in Belfast charged with the murder of a 34-year-old man in Dublin City centre at the weekend. Ryan Ndede, 23, of Boroimhe Birches in Dublin, is charged with the murder of Quham Babatunde. Mr Babutunde died after he was stabbed close to Grafton Street in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A Garda spokesperson said: "The man (aged 23 years) arrested in Belfast by the PSNI on Sunday, February 16, 2025, in connection with a fatal assault in the South Anne Street/Duke Lane Upper area of Dublin in the early hours of Saturday, February 15, 2025, has since been charged.

A 23-year-old man has been remanded into custody charged with the murder of Quham Babatunde in Dublin. Ryan Ndede, from Boroimhe Birches in Swords, Co Dublin, appeared before a district judge at Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Friday morning.
