Continuing their flurry of activity following the Winter Meetings, the Royals swung a trade Saturday night. They acquired outfielder Isaac Collins and right-handed reliever Nick Mears from the Brewers and sent lefty reliever Angel Zerpa to Milwaukee.

The Kansas City Royals and Milwaukee Brewers turned heads on Saturday after announcing they have made a trade.

The Royals traded left-handed reliever Angel Zerpa to the Brewers for versatile outfielder Isaac Collins and right-hander Nick Mears.

Zerpa went 5-2 with a 4.18 ERA in a career-high 69 appearances (two starts) with Kansas City last season. He also set career highs in innings pitched (64.2), strikeouts (58) and holds (14).
