Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the El Salvadoran illegal immigrant that became the face of the Trump administration's mass deportation campaign, has been released from detention.

A ‌federal ​judge on Friday blocked ‌an effort to have Kilmar Abrego returned ​to custody a day after his release from detention.

U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis ruled that Immigration and Customs Enforcement must release Abrego Garcia from custody immediately.
