During the meeting, US president Donald Trump introduced Gianni Infantino to the Crown Prince before reportedly delivering his three-word verdict of the FIFA president

Select members of the FIFA Congress walked out of their annual meeting on Thursday in a rebuke of president Gianni Infantino, who forced the meeting to start several hours late as he was traveling back from a trip to the Middle East, where he spent time with U.S. President Donald Trump.

Infantino apologised to delegates for his late arrival but European football's leading administrators were deeply unimpressed, and said the FIFA president had been accommodating his own "private political interests" by attending events alongside Trump and Middle East leaders from Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
