Search for suspect continues one day after CPW ranger stabbed at Staunton State Park
The search for a suspect who stabbed a Colorado Parks and Wildlife ranger at Staunton State Park continued on Wednesday.
However, CPW reported that the moose continued to charge and attempt to stomp her, showing no signs of leaving. The woman’s boyfriend shot and killed the moose due to the continued aggression.
CPW said Curtis admitted he used game meat to entice bears to the area, which is against Colorado statutes. However, officers did not find evidence that Curtis harvested a bear.
