Angel Reese endured quite the rollercoaster during her rookie season in the WNBA. After the Chicago Sky selected her in the first round of the 2024 Draft, she became an instant centerpiece for the team and a prominent figure off the court.
Leave it to WNBA superstar Angel Reese to make sure she looked impeccably great when going to the Met Gala. Reese, who is getting prepared for another WNBA season with the Chicago Sky, attended the celebrity-laden event earlier in May.
Out of halftime, Van Lith scored five, Ariel Atkins added four, and Rebecca Allen chipped in three to keep the Sky close, despite a 13-point explosion from Collier for the Lynx. Chicago trailed by just three heading into the fourth.
The former LSU forward infamously mocked Clark with the "you can't see me" gesture in the closing moments of that game. Clark's Hawkeyes then defeated Reese's Tigers in the 2024 Regional Final, adding another chapter to this budding rivalry that has only grown in popularity.
The organization named Reese to the 2025 Gala Host Committee in February alongside a slate of Black leaders in the arts, fashion, sports, music and film industries. Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is an honorary chair of the committee, which is led by Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams and Anna Wintour.
