Alabama is bracing for a line of strong to severe thunderstorms expected to hit the state Tuesday night, with the potential for damaging wind

In an unusually early step, the National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has issued a Level 3 out of 5 Enhanced risk for Tuesday.

A storm system is expected to produce severe thunderstorms, tornadoes and damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph next week.
