Microsoft is releasing a number of new Power BI business intelligence features in preview form, as well as rolling out a new native Power BI app for iPad.

Microsoft is planning to introduce a free version of its Power BI business-intelligence tools/service, and will cut prices on its new, fully featured Pro version.

IT should keep an eye on some of Microsoft's upcoming cloud-based services, including Power BI and Enterprise Mobility Suite.

Power BI is a browser-based data visualization portal capable of connecting with corporate data using secured accounts, either on-premise or through select cloud-based vendors.
