The UC browser made by Chinese tech giant Alibaba sends tons of private user information to Chinese servers even when it's in incognito mode, researchers found.

UC Browser, a popular web browser developed by Alibaba subsidiary UCWeb, was found to be tracking user habits on both iOS and Android, and sending the data back to company servers.

The mobile-friendly version of the popular Google Chrome alternative in China and India appears to have been removed from the Play Store.

Using a desktop app also means you can manage its notifications as part of your Windows or macOS settings, rather than messing around with the same options in your web browser.

UCWeb, makers of UC Browser app for Android, has announced a new "My Videos manager" feature for UC Browser that it says will enhance the user's video viewing experience.
