Google’s Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro bring back face unlock to Google's smartphone range. But compared to the Pixel 4, there's a bit of a twist.

Google's updated face unlock achieved Class 3 security for payments without a bulky setup, giving the Pixel 8 Pro the best of both worlds.

Google has upgrade Face Unlock on the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. You can now use it to verify app sign-ins and make payments.

Of note, Google added Machine Learning capabilities to the Pixel 7’s selfie camera to improve Face Unlock functionality. But Google isn’t ready to let you use Face Unlock to sign into apps.

The Google Pixel Buds also use a dedicated app for sound management, rather than Android’s built-in options. However, there is no clarity on what the features of the Google Pixel Watch app will be.
