THE Sunshine Coast could soon be fielding a new crop of Olympians after the Stingettes hit the field for the first time last night.

James Oliver, ASU’s band director, created the viral dance team in 2004, providing an alternative for plus-size dancers who wanted to audition for the Stingettes dance team, he told AL.com in 2017.
