A snowstorm hitting the Rocky Mountains this week could end up being the biggest all season, forecasters said.

Colorado is in the middle of a spring snowstorm on Wednesday, May 6, and FOX21 News viewers are sending in their pictures of the snow in their neighborhoods.

"Widespread and extensive tree damage all over the Denver metro this morning as this very wet and heavy snow continues to pile on," AccuWeather Meteorologist and Storm Chaser Tony Laubach said.

Denver has a snowy start to the Wednesday Pinpoint Weather Alert Day, with the snow ending as skies clear through the afternoon.

The spring snowstorm has already brought nearly half a foot of snow in Denver, making it one of the largest May snowstorms in the city’s history.
