One person died and three others, including a child, were injured in a shooting Wednesday night at a high school graduation in Northern California, officials said.

A teenager was killed and three people wounded in a shooting following a California high school graduation ceremony Wednesday evening, according to authorities.

Mayor Alma Hernandez said that three people were shot at the Sem Yeto High School graduation taking place at Fairfield High School, but that has not been confirmed by police.

The killing last year stunned an affluent Dallas suburb where the teenagers attended school and quickly drew wider attention, in part over social media posts that amplified the case in racial terms.
