Southeastern Community College is hosting a Classroom Ready Academy to help battle the childcare crisis in North Carolina.

The academy is designed to create certified childcare workers who meet the needs of childcare providers in Columbus County.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Enrollment at Southeast Community College (SCC) has increased by 9% since last fall, surpassing 10,000 students for the first time in over a decade, the school reported Tuesday.

It will include live music by Camel City Yacht Club, a cocktail dinner buffet, dancing, a reverse raffle and a silent raffle.
