Potentially obtaining Matthew Stafford wasn’t in the cards for Pete Carroll upon joining the Las Vegas Raiders. One month later, after news broke of Stafford wanting a new deal, the Los Angeles Rams quarterback suddenly became an option.

Stafford, 37, has been linked to the Las Vegas Raiders, who now have former Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll leading them into 2025. The Raiders are at least in the conversation, per Sports Illustrated senior writer Albert Breer.

There’s a chance that the only options worth drafting at QB in the first round will be gone by the time the Raiders are on the clock.
