Dogs, cats and their owners could be at risk, an alert published on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration website warned.

Viva Raw, a pet food brand based in Charlotte, North Carolina, has recalled a number of products over fears that they could make animals or people sick.

Among the states getting the raw food from the Charlotte company: Florida, California, South Carolina, Illinois, New York.
