Sharks are one of the most feared yet misunderstood creatures in the ocean, and Eyewitness News got an up close look -- and a lesson -- at the New York Aquarium on Coney Island.

Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach will salute a decade of bringing ocean wonders to the public with a year-long, 10th-anniversary celebration kicking off Saturday.

“Ocean Wonders: Sharks!” opens on June 30 at 10 a.m., and summer hours for the aquarium can be found here. Until September 3, the Aquarium will offer half-priced admission.
