Last Energy, which was founded in 2019 by Bret Kugelmass, built two full-scale prototypes in Texas and held several demonstration events to show-off its modular approach to nuclear power plants.

Microreactors are smaller nuclear plants that can generate electricity and heat for industrial applications — which are booming alongside North Texas’ expanding population and economy.
