Three Kentucky lottery players are starting the new year with big wins after matching five numbers in Wednesday's Powerball drawing.

Christmas came a day late for one lucky Kentuckian. A winning $2 million Mega Millions ticket was sold at the RaceTrac at 101 Bizzack Avenue in Frankfort for the Dec. 26 draw. Kentucky Lottery officials said the winning ticket matched all five white balls, winning the second-tier prize under the 2X multiplier category.

A $50,000 winning Powerball® ticket was sold in Kentucky for the drawing held Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, according to the Kentucky Lottery.

The winning numbers for the Jan. 12 drawing were 5, 27, 45, 56 and 59. The red Powerball was 4, and the Power Play was 2 X. There was no jackpot winner in the Jan. 12 drawing. There was no $2 million Match 5 plus Power Play winner. There was one winner for the Match 5 $1 million prize from a ticket sold in Florida.

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WEHT) — A winning $50,000 Powerball ticket was recently sold in Madisonville from the January 3 drawing. Kentucky Lottery officials state this was also the Bluegrass State’s first top-tier Powerball winner of 2026. The ticket was sold at KT’s Smoke Shop. The winning numbers were 18, 21, 40, 53, 60 with the Powerball of 23.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A $2 million Mega Millions ticket was sold in Frankfort, Kentucky. The winning ticket was purchased for the Friday, Dec. 26, Kentucky Lottery drawing at Racetrac, 101 Bizzack Blvd. The winning numbers were 9-19-31-63-64 with a Mega Ball of 7.

No one won the $104 million Powerball jackpot in the Wednesday, Jan. 7 drawing. The winning numbers were 15, 28, 57, 58, and 63, with a red Powerball of 23. One ticket won a $2 million prize by matching five numbers plus the Power Play.
