CINCINNATI — Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow will play on Thursday night against the Ravens, just 69 days after undergoing surgery on his left big toe. The 28-year-old suffered a grade 3 turf toe injury. He was expected to be out until mid-December. Some thought he'd miss the entire season. Burrow never felt that way.
“I’m not gonna ever go to somebody and say ‘I’m healthy, but I don’t think I should go out there and play,’” Burrow said. “That doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. I’m not gonna live my life and play this game, scared of something happening. Yeah, something’s gonna happen. It’s football.”
