A semi-truck tipped over on Interstate 80 in Iowa as winter weather moved through the area. The crash occurred on I-80 westbound at mile marker 12, south of Weston. There is no word on any injuries at this time.
Both northbound and southbound IH-635 will see nightly lane closures, along with temporary ramp closures to and from Highway 80.
The CHP issued a Sig Alert for severe traffic about 7:30 a.m. and announced that it had shut down all three lanes on I-80 on the freeway before the Richmond Parkway exit. They later said that they closed a lane on eastbound I-80 and were diverting traffic at the Willow Avenue exit in Hercules.
The lanes were shut down just after 7 a.m. near Hercules, officials said.
