AUSTIN - The roof hasn't exactly caved in on the Texas baseball team, but that ain't exactly celebratory confetti falling on the Longhorns these days. Red-hot Florida struck for six runs in its first at-bat and cruised to a 8-2 pounding of top-ranked Texas to continue the home team's recent tailspin.

After clinching the third seed at the SEC Tournament by sweeping Kentucky, the Longhorns hope to strengthen their NCAA seeding case in Georgia.

The Longhorns and Aggies, who last year renewed their more-than-century-old rivalry for the first time since 2011, will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. CT on Friday, Nov. 28 in Austin. Texas athletic director Chris Del Conte and Texas A&M athletic director Trev Alberts both expressed an interest last year in moving future iterations of the game to a Friday night in hopes of seeking a more exclusive television window.
