At least 34 people have been killed in a Russian missile strike on Ukraine's northeastern city of Sumy. That comes less than 48 hours after Donald Trump's envoy met Vladimir Putin in Russia for more talks on ending the war.

The missile strike Sunday was one of the deadliest single attacks on Ukraine this year, as diplomatic efforts led by the U.S. have yielded few results.
