SAVANNAH, Ga. (WKYT) - After falling behind 2-0, Kentucky reverse sweeps Texas to capture the SEC Tournament Championship, beating the Longhorns 3-2. Kentucky is the first SEC Tournament champion in 20 years since the last tournament in 2005. This is also Kentucky’s 6th all-time SEC Tournament Title and first since 1988.

On Tuesday, the No. 3 Texas Longhorns were defeated by the No. 2 Kentucky Wildcats in a striking 3-2 set at the SEC Championship, held at the Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia.

The Texas Volleyball team had the Kentucky Wildcats at match point twice, but the Wildcats roared back to win finals of the SEC Tournament.

Finally, Texas A&M will face a team with a winning SEC record when they travel to Austin to take on the Texas Longhorns in the Lone Star Showdown at DKR. Schedules are made years in advance, and you cannot control if teams fail to live up to their preseason rankings.
