The Edmonton Oilers have been busy bringing in players to start free agency, but they've also lost quite a few.

The Edmonton Oilers' potent offence lost some firepower in free agency Tuesday as forwards Corey Perry and Connor Brown signed with other teams.

The Edmonton Oilers signed forward Curtis Lazar to a one-year contract worth US$775,000 on Wednesday. The 30-year-old from Salmon Arm, B.C.

The Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday night signed forward Andrew Mangiapane, 29, to a two-year contract that carries an average annual value of $3.6 million, the club announced, adding a veteran who might be able to fill the slot left behind by Corey Perry.

The NHL free agent market opened on Tuesday, as teams try to fill needs and bulk up their rosters ahead of the 2025-26 season. The Edmonton Oilers were fairly quiet on Day 1, due to their limited cap space.

Tomkins (6'4", 191 lbs.) dressed in 26 games for the AHL's Syracuse Crunch last season, sporting a 12-10-5 record with a 2.55 GAA, .907 SV% and three shutouts.
