Jane says it’s over. On Wednesday, rock band Jane’s Addiction posted a statement on Instagram revealing they are officially breaking up. This comes over a year after an onstage fight occurred between singer Perry Farrell and guitarist Dave Navarro.

The group announced their breakup 5 months after lawsuits between bandmates went public following on onstage assault.

The alternative rock pioneers confirmed their split in separate statements addressing the fallout from their tumultuous 2024 reunion tour.

Formed in 1985 in Los Angeles, Jane’s Addiction released only four studio albums but produced hits including “Been Caught Stealing,” “Jane Says” and “Just Because.” Their core and most recent lineup consisted of Farrell on lead vocals, Navarro on guitar, Eric Avery on bass and Stephen Perkins on drums.
